Anonymous asked what are your fave shoe brands and stores for afordable stuff? i love your style!

Aw thank you:) For affordable shoes I love Aldo. Their shoes are always really current with trends. I also really like Steve Madden, my favorite heals are from there. They’re a Jeffery Campbell inspired heal but because they’re not the real thing they’re unique and I’ve never met anyone with the same pair! I always get compliments on them.

itslinhd asked woow u're so pretty!! btw, do u got any tips for me, I'm very short :D and i have long dark hair and i dont always know what to wear cause i dont want to seem even shorter than i already am :D and because of my dark hair, should i wear more bright colored clothes ? thanks for helping me!! :) xo!

Thank you babe:)) I’m so jealous of your hair, I wish my hair was super long like yours! I would recommend wearing dark colored bottoms, like ink wash or black jeans and black leggings whenever you wear flat shoes. If you want to wear jeans with a cuffed ankle, slouchy boyfriend jeans, cut off pants or capris, I recommend wearing something with a heal. For a more casual heel i’d suggest a wedge, like this . Light brown and tan colored heals are very in style right now, and they’re amazing for short girls like us as the light color elongates your foot. Here is another example of a great neutral heal that isn’t a wedge. Or, if you want something edgier, these are beautiful! Even a flat or sandal with a slight wedge to it works sometimes, I own these sandals (in a sand color), which give me a bit of height and they’re still very casual & comfortable. If you want to wear an ankle boot, i’d save it for a dress, skirt, or short pairing.. but something like this would look great with a flowy dress (like this one.. or a summery daytime one as well). With regard to your dark hair, it’s hard to say which colors you should wear. I usually base my color pairings on eye color and skin undertone. Just based on my current preference and on what’s in style right now, I’d suggest getting some powder blue like this (click the blue color) and soft pink/coral pieces as tops, like this one. With regard to bottoms, I love red jeans, but they are hard to pull off if you’re short (I wear them anyways though, haha). I also recommend one pair of pants that are light in color like these... I’m also dying for a pair of tan jeans like these. Just a general tip, when wearing a dress try and wear one that is all one color, it will make you seam taller! Dresses with a high sinch, or dressed that are belted high waisted, will elongate your legs as well:))

On a side note, I just stalked your me page! 1. I love your tattoo 2. I see your a cheer leader, that’s so exciting because I’m a dancer/part of a pom team:) We compete at cheer competitions in the dance division!

Your question was sort of vague, so if you have any other questions let me know! Hopefully this helped a bit.

ridee-or-die asked well i mean its a concert but theres a meet and greet with the artist and no im from canada :)

Oh sick! What’s the artist? I would recommend wearing a pair of dark wash jeans, indigo wash or black would look best. Pair that with a chunky belt, to give a funkier look. Then I would wear a loose tank, preferably something with a low back or sides to give a free summerly overall look. Somethinglike this or this would look great! Another option is something netted like this which would also look great. With that I would wear a chunky necklace, something that falls high on your neck so that it doesnt flop around while you’re jumping and dancing. Aldo sells a lot of great pieces like this, so does forever 21 and urban outfitters. Be sure to wear a nice pair of shades, either raybans or something vintage like this. Since its in Aug, i’d wear a cute pair of sandals, something (the bottom left pair in this picture) these this.  Let me know if you have any more questions, or if you’d like me to cater to a different kind of look you were going for:) I’d be happy to help xx

scillas asked Hey! What do you think are the must haves for this Winter/Autumn? What's in fashion? I love your blog, and I think you are amazing at giving fashion advice! I read your answers to that anon hehe. I really like the knee high stocking sock things! :) xx

Thanks so much! Well where i’m from, its been an especially warm winter so i’ve mostly been dressing for a colder fall for the last few months- so I’ll do my best to give you advice based on what i’ve been wearing currently. A few must haves for casual wear are a pair of skinny indigo wash jeans, a pair of red jeans, something leopard print (i’m a fan of the leopard print scarf), a pair of combat or desert boots (like these which come in a variety of styles.. I personally have a pair with no heal at all.. and they’re waterproof! bonus!), a button up jean material long sleve, at least one solid color loose fitting thick strapped tank that goes low on the sides like this, and cartigan or long sleve with elbow patches. It terms of purses, I’m a huge fan of smaller bags with a long chain or strap that go accross the body like this one or this one. They can be dressed up or dress down, they’re perfect for going out to the bar as they’re small and easy to wear, but also look beautiful with a casual outfit. I have a few that I switch between. For Autumn a leather jacket is very much a must have. In terms of more fancy dress, I’d suggest a colored blazer, red and maroon seam to be quite popular, but once spring comes around I will probably purchase a lighter colored one like this. Chunky necklaces are also great to add a little flair to any outfit, i’d suggest a statement piece that falls high on your neck. A patterned straight skirt is great to have in your wardrobe this season, I personally have a white canvas skirt with a tribal pattern that looks excellent with a long sleved black bodysuit tucked into it. This is what mine looks like. A loose fitting sheer long sleve button up is also essential, it can be worn so many different ways. I’d go for a classic one like this or something a little funkier and unique like this! In terms of footwear, my two favorite trends of the season are the chunky heal jeffrey campbell (specifically the wooden heal) like this, the classic wedge heal like this, and the miumiu style heal which clasps around the ankle. If you cant afford a pair of either of these, check out steve madden or aldo they’ve got some great stuff. I was going to mention knee socks as a must, but it looks like you’ve already got that down!

Anonymous asked I live on the east coast, and in the spring it's usually rainy, and around 50-70 degrees. In the summer it's around 70-95, and it rains less

Ok here are a few things to purchase this season that are currently in style. Be sure to have a pair of knee socks, either plain or crochet style, I own both pairs from American Apparel that look like this that I recommend. If it’s usually rainy, you need a cut pair of rain boots. If you can get a designer pair here are some really cute options here and here- or hunter boots are really great. You should purchase a pair of red pants like these. A new trend lately are long sleved shirts and sweaters with elbow patches. I have a caridgan that I regularily wear open that is a light brown with dark brown elbow patches. I also have a then black sweater with brown elbow patches. Some examples can be seen here and here. In terms of shoes for going out, a black chunky pair, either a wedge or something with a thick heal are really great like these or these.  Scarves are a great accent to any outfit, id suggest getting a circle scarf like this, a thinner light scarf like this and something leopard print like this are all great choices. Be sure you have staple items like black skinny jeans, indigo wash skinny jeans, a pair of loose fitting silk pants like these or these.  When it gets warmer, make sure you have a pair of high wasted jean shorts, a pair of black highwaisted shorts- something patterned perhaps is always nice. Some loose fitting tank tops are crucial, a nice plain cotton one with a low back or low arms are great for the summer with a nice cotton bra such as this one. If you need any advice on specific outfits for specific occasions let me know!

Anonymous asked thanks that was so much help!! what shoes do you recommend?!

No problem love! I would go for something fun! If you want to wear a heal then nothing stiletto of course, something funky and casual.. perferably something chunky like this this or this. Or just go for a simple black flip flop if you don’t own any shoes like these! :)

Anonymous asked I'm redoing my whole wardrobe this spring, suggestions? I really have no idea where to start, so anything would help!

Hmm I usually give much more specific advice, but i’ll try! First of all, let me know what the weather is like where you’re from, that’ll help me give you advice on a few staple items you should purchase.

Anonymous asked i'm going to a music festival friday and it's going to be fairly hot what should i wear?

Thats so fun! You should wear a pair of highwasted shorts, something weathered and torn like these or these. You could either pair those with a graffic T, specifically something loose fitting or vintage like this this or this. Be sure to tuck it in to your shorts! If you don’t own a Tshirt like one of those, or you’d to wear something less “rocker”, go for a loose fitting tank, something with a solid color or simple pattern like this this or this. Something with low sides would look best. If you go with the second look, wear a statement necklace. I would advice against a necklace as a long one will get in the way if you’re jumping/dancing at the music festival, so perhaps wear some cool bracelets, something chunky like this one is always nice. Dont forget your sunglasses, some raybands or vintage glasses will look great with this outfit and will come in handy at the concert! Hope this helps, have fun!

Anonymous asked I'm going on a first date tonight and am super nervous and have NO idea what to wear. He's taking me to dinner somewhere, but won't tell me where. Any suggestions on outfit options? Cute blog by the way. I've been following you for a while.

There are a few factors, like how old you are makes a huge difference. But, assuming the restaurant is probably causally elegant your safest bet is a pair of indigo wash skinny jeans with a dressy silk top, a top that you love and you feel good wearing. Something light colored and silk or chiffon would be nice. A top like this this or this would work. Dress it up with some simple jewelry, a nice watch, a simple necklace, a few bangles, don’t go too overboard/flashy. Typically I wear heals on dates (either a sweet black peeptoe or a wedge), but if not then a simple pair of black leather boots, something over the knee if you own them would look great. And this is all assuming you’re from Canada/ Uk/ Northern States and it’s wintertime, If it’s summer where you live i’d suggest a whole different outfit. Hope this helps!!
